Madame Satã (2002)
Whether you’re learning Portuguese or just looking for something to watch, Madame Satã is worth seeing.
The film is a loose portrayal of the life of João Francisco dos Santos, also known as Madame Satã. Aside from incredible scenes of Rio de Janeiro in the 1930s, the film depicts the life of someone who remains an iconic figure for refusing to conform.
